Our Mission

The Centers is committed to meeting the unique and evolving needs of individuals by providing comprehensive, integrated care that promotes physical, emotional, and social wellness for all.

We are a private, 501c3 non-profit mental, behavioral, and primary health care provider with locations in Little Rock and Monticello. Our programs address typical concerns that individuals today encounter along with serving specific populations such as socially and emotionally challenged and at-risk youth, runaway youth, foster children and families, victims of human trafficking, and adults suffering from a variety of mental and behavioral challenges.

As a Billing Specialist you will be responsible for the following:

1. Submit Insurance, Medicare and Medicaid claims electronically on a weekly basis
2. Submit secondary Insurance, Medicare and Medicaid claims
3. Post payments electronically as payments are received
4. Submit Medicare crossovers electronically
5. Post Medicare crossovers electronically as payments are received
6. Post adjustments per EOBs and transfers balance to other payers as necessary (as EOBs are received)
7. Monitor EOBs/notices from funding sources of non-payment/partial payment and resubmits with corrected/requested information
8. Work with funding sources to resolve problems with payments
9. Notify appropriate staff of funding problems
10. Stay current on payer updates and recommends billing software updates that are needed due to upcoming changes by funding sources
11. Follow-up on past due claims
12. Research claims as necessary to ensure funds are collected in a timely manner

13. Perform other duties as assigned

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Four years’ experience in billing to include Medicare, Medicaid and Insurance billing

Language Skills:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
